It is cause of a intricate light theory.it is cause of polarization of light that pass through water drops.
we know that light is wave form by any frequency that depend on it's color and any bright material has a light break factor"n" than break any light in any frequency .
By equation "(passed light frequency)=(source light frequency)/n" you can qet that light pass through glass changes into other frequency so into other color. this is one reason but polarization change is more complex.

There is moisture in the air to refract the sun's light. Chances are as the temperature cools it will gather more moisture and when it reaches saturation point, it will rain. Not 80 words but maybe you could do a nice cover page or something.
