Has anyone used a vacume pump for there pond to suck the sand out of the bottom of it?. If so where did you purchase it and is it effective?

im sure any pool supply store will have em, i know it works cus i vacum pools all da time and it sucks up a hell of alot of dirt/sand/trash... well depends on the vacum....

I use a vacuum cleaner for my pond.
There are a few that would do the job in removing dead matter.

I agree with txpilot. I do this yearly with my pond. They work great.

Any good shop-vac should work. Get one at Sears,Home Depot,etc.
