And remember milk breaks in the afternoon?

And remember when that one kid left school in the morning and came back just as milk break was starting and he had new glasses and he was bragging that they were unbreakable and I said "no they aren't" and he said "yes they are" and I said "no they aren't" and he said "yes they are" and then he put his glasses on the floor there in milk line and stomped on them to prove they were unbreakable and they broke into like a dozen pieces?

Remember that?

Do ya, huh?

At my grammar school, the lunches were paid for in advance, so they seemed like they were free. I guess you could think of religion in the same way. You tithe in advance and then end up with a crappy little square shaped pizza.

I used to help with handing out lunches in school in order to earn my "free" lunch.

No, I was fortunate, but I remember being a cook at school and wondering if that was the only meal those kids got all day.

No such thing as a free lunch. Not for me anyway - used to be 12p a day when I was at school.
