There is a movie called SNUFF. It came out in the early 1980's. It is about a warehouse massacre.

People get heads cut off, fingers chopped. Testicles split and Breasts hacked from there chest.

The difference with this film is that it really happened. The filmed these people (2 bit actors) actually getting massacred.

The editor or producer have never been found, but some how they managed to get this particular film distributed. The police were called to a warehouse due to a funny smell coming from inside it they found over 20 hacked dead body's, the body's of the stars of the film.

Obviously they banned this film and have confiscated over 2000 copy's of this film but they are still a few of them floating around out there somewhere.

Wow. I don't even know how to begin to answer this. There are different aspects that make a movie scary. It could be how realistic it is or how fantastical it is. It could be makeup and special effects. It could be how twisted the bad guy is or how gorey the flick is. Great question! I'm a horror film addict. Here are some of my favorites:

Hostel
SAW trilogy
Silence of the Lambs
Se7en
Poltergeist (the first one only)
The Sixth Sense
The Exorcist
Stir of Echoes
Trilogy of Terror (African death god/Zuni fetish doll)
*this scared the crap out of me when I was a little kid
Wolf Creek
Strangeland
The Ring

I can't say that I can even recall when I last saw a really scary movie. It's sad that they all run on the same plots. At the moment I would say Saw and Saw II. Hostel was a big let down. It was so far from being scary it wasn't even funny.

Super Size Me.

Forget Mike Myers or Freddy Kruger. Perhaps the most terrifying character out there is Ronald McDonald

The first Alien movie. Suspenseful as hell. Really dark. Scared the crap out of me. Even now, that movie is still creepy.
