It has to be something that fascinates you and has enough of an interest on the rest of the campus.
If it doesn't fascinate you, you will soon lose interest in finding enough material to fill a magazine on a regular basis.
If it doesn't fascinate others, you will not develop readers for your magazine.
You have to find your own local interests and, once you find a few potential topics, perhaps poll your surrounding campus and even the surrounding community to see which one interests people.
