however, it is no longer published
others which came up at nearly the same time are Anand bazar patrika (THIS IS THE OLDEST ONE STILL BEING PUBLISHED), the hindu, madras mail and the times of India

In my opinion, it is MUMBAI SAMACHAR (Gujarati) daily published from Mumbai for the past over 185 years.
