you're actually SUPPOSED to put on the moisturizer before the foundation. that's the rule. i understand you dont have moisturizer and you want to sub. with lotion--will likely make you greasy and prob break out so put it on VERY sparingly only on spots that are noticably dry.

Just dab a bit of the lotion (use a nonscented one if you have it) on the super dry parts, then let it dry before putting on the powder. That will be a quick fix until you can get some moisturizer. I've done it before when in a pinch and it has never broken my skin out. But, as you know, everyone's skin is different, so only use it in "have to" places. Good luck!

Yes and No. Do use a light moisturizer specifically for your face. It will help your powder make up go on more smoothly and won't look flaky. It also keeps your skin soft and supple. I have oily skin and I put on a moisturizer and it actually helps me NOT break out. DO NOT use heavy lotions because they may cause you to break out and cause problems with your make up application.

I use a lotion under my makeup everyday. Use one that says non-comodongenic or one that will actually clear acne. So yes it makes make up look fresher (especially if you use one for oil-control)!

yes, oil-free lotion is best and make sure it thoroughly absorbs before you put the powder on (at least 5 mins.).

If your skin tends to be dry, it'd be good to apply moisturiser first and then apply your foundation.
If you're afraid of breakouts, buy lotion from a good brand like, Simple.
