My DELL laptop screen has got finger marks on it - thanks to a zealous over active grand-daughter ! I am scared to use anything like a detergent or solvent spirit on it so somebody please help. I can find nothing in the DELL manual that covers this.
Just for the record my DELL is an INSPIRON 6000, I have had it a year and I am absolutely chuffed with it

I spray Windex on a cloth and clean it. Saw my computer guy do it and he said it was fine.

Good luck.

Go to Walmart or another store and buy an eyeglass cleaning kit that comes with the spray cleaner and a lens cloth. This type of cloth will not damage your screen. Spray the cleaner on the cloth, NOT ON THE SCREEN, and then you can wipe the screen down.

to clean your screen you just need a damp spunge, not wet but enough to clean the screen but have a towel in hand ready to dry it off straight away afterwoods. you can buy proper screen cleaners but i recommend you to go down to computer stores and ask for advice.

There are various strategies to connect, yet i am going to describe how mine is connected. The s-video (round with 7 holes) jack on the computer is linked to the rca form video enter on the television. you'll want an adapter to remodel the s-video cable to a male rca-form plug. on the area of the computer is a headphone jack. that's linked to the audio enter of the television. lower back, you'll want the headphone plug cable and an adapter to plug into the rca form television audio.

You can either buy computer wipes or buy a a spectacle lens cleaner. I've used it personally and woeks better than wipes as it doesn't dry out.

i would say it woulnd't do it any harm with a soft clean cloth with a bit of clean water on it! make sure you rinse well. don't soak the thing or it will only blow up! on second thoughts spit on the cloth!
