buy another computer....a stick of ram jus means u r increasing the amount of space that ur computers main programs use... an xample would b a pilot having very little space 2 fly the plane so evry time he has 2 steer, then the cockpit would b 2 small for his arms and the plane would kip jerking (aka computer freezing) if u add a stick of space(Ram) into the cockpit then the pilot will hav space 2 manouver his arms and avoid jerking the plane.....
if u r un aware of what ram is then it'll cost u 2 get an xpert 2 xplain which 1 is appropriate 4 ur computer and for him/her to install it, its gona b costly....
hope that helps.

Right click on My Computer, and click properties... how much RAM does it say you have? if you're running Windows XP and you have less than 512MB of RAM, yes you should get more. I had 256 and got another 256 stick to make 512 and I don't think it has froze since.... i don't remember tha last time it froze but it used to.
this will tell you what type of RAM you need http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/

More likely then not, it will help. I did the same thing with my computer put a few sticks in there and it was beautiful. Now, if you want a new computer I would do shop around to see if it would be a good geal.

If the problem is that you don't have enough RAM, then yes it will help. Otherwise it is unlikely to fix anything.
