It would turn the world into a total fiasco. We could all be equally intelligent with a universal IQ of 60 or an IQ of 165.

The world's economy depends heavily on differing levels of intelligence...which I have to assume means we all have equal knowledge and skills.

I'll assume you mean equal high intelligence. Why would I go to a doctor when I broke my leg...if my wife can repair it in the comfort of my home? Teachers, tax advisers, lawyers and salesmen would have very little business.

Universities, schools, and publishers would close because...if we had to stay equal...they'd be nothing else to learn....because when we learned an additional fact...we'd me a little bit more intelligent than others.

Parenthood, religion, and socializing and conversation would become unnecessary institutions. The world would be like a gravel pit where each little rock has equal intelligence.

Although I consider myself somewhere between really stupid and pretty smart, the LAST thing I'd want is a planet full of people just like me. I learn new things every day from intelligent people as well as from not-so-smart people. Life would be a nightmare if I was never wrong...or right.

Whoa whoa whoa. Before this question can be answered, you must clarify what intelligence means. If someone is good at rocket science they are considered intelligent. But In the same sense if, another individual who saves a lot of money on their taxes would also be considered intelligent as well. What I think you are referring to is the "g-factor" or General intelligence. It would really depend on what the level of intelligence is. If everyone had an IQ of 50, then we would be in bad shape. We would be much like animals (except animals also vary in intelligence), but let us say that the IQ is now 450 in relation to present day people (intelligence actually raises over time (Flynn effect) an is more like a percentile of the population) I feel as though we would be much more advanced. Also if ever one had the same intelligence, we would have no concept of smart of dumb as we know it now. But because of motivation and intrests in diffrent things people would still be diff rent in other ways. Some would work harder and pay attention more, some would be risk takes while others more cautious. Some would like math some would like art. So I think not as much would change, there would just no excuse for doing poorly other than laziness, I guess. But I think less would change than we ultimately think would. I think I got a little off track but I hope you took something away from this.

To some extent we are all equally intelligent. Some of us use our brainpowers more then others and learn more about the world around us by exploration, and curiosity.

Intelligence isnt something you're born with, rather it's something you bring upon yourself. To ask what would happen if we were equally intelligent, is the same as asking what if all of us had the exact same experiences, learnt the exact same things and studied it in that same way that many exact seconds.

To ask if we were equally intelligent, is to ask what would happen if we were all the same. Answer's Easy: There'd bo no difference of opinion, no difference of religion and no dispute. Nothing new would arise, nothing new would come out. Everything would be the same and nothing would be unique.

But that's what actually happens..we are given the same amounts of neurons and each of us has the same primary intelligence...But it depends on the way we use our neurons and also the way we enrich our intelligence....
