the Embargo looks better on paper then in reality...kind of like Communism. The only people that suffer from the Embargo are the citizens of Cuba. Fidel and his consorts are still lining their pockets, due to families (like mine) that send money to their relatives in Cuba so they can live, tourism from various other countries, drug trafficking (not on the island, but drug traffickers do use it as a port), and various other means. If the Embargo were lifted it would make it much easier for families to be able to see their loved ones (my husband has not seen his family in 7yrs and my kids have never met their grandparents) I know many people outside the US like the fact that the Embargo has kept the island "magical" and "untouched" so to speak, but they are clearly not thinking about the citizens that suffer daily because of the Embargo. (and Fidel !!!)

Yes. The Commie threat died with the Soviet Union. Also, the only reason that Cuba is Communist in the first place is due to Americas disasterous foreign policy.

To continue with the embargo just looks like so much soure grapes on Americas part.
