We've got global terrorism, lethal superbugs that can't be cured with antibiotics, we've got global warming which is already starting to show, China are testing missiles, the US want to station missiles in the Czech Republic so now the Russians are getting edgy, we've got the threat of bird flu, economic depression, rising debt, rising obesity, rising mental illness, everybody's scared, everyone hates each other because they can't make the effort to understand each other, the media totally stirs it all up to make profit, warping everyone's minds, and who else just wants to stand up and shout "STOP!" hang on for just a second. Calm down. With all the ecological and medical crises, how can anyone be bothered with war and fighting? Why are the people in power so damn unWISE and hate-filled and money grabbing and what can all the little people do about it? I mean, what the hell happened to civilisation, respect, honour, diplomacy, sorting things out and talking things through?

i think it is always this way (chaotic, lots of problems). telecommunication/internet makes the chaos visible no matter what country/city you are staying. the right to get information makes leaders cannot hide their flawed policies anymore. that is why we see problems everywhere.

I'd certainly be part of your shout to "stop", I think with the internet more voices are now being heard, it's the age of communication and everyone is getting on the bandwagon and trying to instill their beliefs onto others. I'm looking towards the report about global warming of more than 600 scientist that's supposed to come out on Feb 2., that in itself should be enlightening. Global Warming will have to be on the agenda of every country and Nation. Perhaps that will be a common denominator to bring about world peace, as they say there is a reason for everything. I don't despair, I see a faint glimmer of hope for the future.

OK, let's go back 40 years and see how different - War in far away land, riots in the streets at home, people fighting for civil rights, political leaders & civil leaders being shot on the streets. It's just a substitution of events.

im sorry, the world as you know it was sold off to big coprorations for fatter profit lines and bigger CEO pay cheques. civilisation, respect, honour and diplomacy were traded in a hostile business take over in early 1982. they were then processed, re-sort and re-packaged by 4 year old children in a sweat shop and sold back to the consumer at an inflated price to justify more hostile action at home and abroad.

Hmmm...indignant, yells at you for no reason, performs video games with you on the phone, freaks out, makes stuff up, treats you want a burden and also you'll't have self belief her? what percentage extra pink flags do you want? i imagine that is time to make this woman step up and structure up if she insists she loves you. often knotted up human beings take out their subject matters on those closest to them and that isn't any longer correct. do no longer flow in with this woman till she has towed the line and confirmed you the way a lot she appreciates you. It hurts now, emotionally, yet contained in the destiny will damage a lot extra in various diverse strategies.

That's what happen when people forget the very basis of humanity - to be humane. People like us who have conscience but unfortunately no power can only watch and live our daily lives like usual, continue in doing good and contributing as mush as we can to the society, and pray for world peace and mutual respect and tolerance.

Peace and Love

Generally speaking, it was always this way. But yes, I think there are more mad people today then in other times. This is because it is common among parents to spoil their children, not to educate them, and to make them used to getting whatever they want, on the expense of others.

It's always been this way throughout time. Overall I think we're living in better times then the people who lived say 2500 years ago. It's different of course, but our overall quality of life is high.no matter how fast our life is moving today.
