I recall quite a few things from when I was three. There are a couple of particulary memorable things I remember from when I was two:

Being hot in a hot car on a Winter afternoon and pulling the wool ties on my bonnet. I remember whining about the itch under my chin.

Getting the same doll as my sister that Christmas and her saying we had to name the dolls.

There was one other memory I have, and I must have been younger than two because I was told I got rid of the bottle early:
I remember taking my mother giving me a baby bottle full of milk (black cap on glass bottles in those days). Right after I began to drink I did a major projectile vomit and never had a bottle again.

People say that such memories are usually the result of someone's hearing the story from their parents, but I know this isn't the case with this particular memory for reasons I won't go into here.

I'm well into middle-age.

I remember my Dad coming home from his night job and playing with me in my crib. (I remember standing in the crib waiting for him to come in the room. He had this game with Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls and I loved it. I remember it as a single incident, but I'm sure that it was many incidents spread over time.

I was 2 1/2 yrs old max, but I can only place the age because I've asked later when my Dad had a this night job. 29 now.

I have like one memory from when I was 1 - my first birthday - it's just like a photograph, a tiny memory, a glimpse of my little birthday cake with a yellow number 1 on top! Apart from that, I had a couple from when I was 3, then more and more after I was 4.

I have a very vague, fuzzy memory of watching a ship leave port. Its just a few seconds worth of memory - like watching a very old movie. Apparently it's of when my uncle emigrated to New Zealand. I was less than a year old. I'm now 39.
