Whistled song of the 70's?

What was the name of a song in the 70's tht was completely whistled and in the background one could hear some shots as if it were some kinda cowboy theme, I remember the name of the band was very long, and no it wasn't the one in that Clint Eastwood movie, pls help!!

I should have skipped over this question because now I'm wondering too and it's going to drive me nuts trying to think of the answer! I'll get back to you on it. Hmmm.....
