Since nothing can travel faster than the speed of light, it would be virtually impossible for any alien civilization to reach us, since any closest would probably be at least more than 200 or 300+ light years away. Probably for the best, we would probably end up fighting with them, just like we fight and kill amongst ourselves, maybe why designed as such.

add detail, anybody know how you can defy the Laws of General and/or Special Relativity and go faster than the Speed of Light C, I see no way the Equations can be manipulated as such?

Yes, the universe is marvelous whether it be by design or otherwise.
You post some cognitive content here, earth man.

I believe the universe is marvelous but not because of that reason. The only way that an aliens can reach us is if they have some sort of energy source that can last over 300 light years as it is traveling at our location. Let's just say that the travelers or the folks back home will need to be very patient. Now, who says that it is impossible? I read books that say it is impossible they the authors haven't considered emerging technology playing a role. For example, who says that the alien travelers will be awake for the trip? The folks back home could've contained their eggs using machines that are set to have it birth at a certain time, just close enough to be within a star's light. Another option could be that the traveler's bodies could be frozen for the whole trip, set to defrost within a star's light. In both ways, no one will starve for 300 light years! You prepare for the trip, you sleep, you wake up near Earth. I'm sure those aliens have thought of something else that would work. Remember that we can't base their understanding of life, travel, and technology on our advances on Earth. Who knows, they probably are a few million years ahead of us. Look how far just a hundred years got us!

The most interesting theory from the recent past is warping space so that you only had to travel a short distance to get very far. Warp speed in Star Trek.

Yeah all these asteroid impacts show some real great design. And not traveling faster than c, doesn't mean one can't get to another area faster than it would have taken light.

Oh and coronal mass ejections, elliptical orbits, flipping magnetic fileds, all show some nice design as well.

I'm with you travailing that far seems improbable. on day we will find a way. we have to or we will all die. our sun will not last forever. but first we have to learn to get along. we are fighting for the dumbest reasons. how can we expect to survive the universe if we cant even live together. but we must learn. soon

Great, so what's your question? Or did you just want to impress us with your appreciation for vast interstellar distances?

Regardless, I think you are right. I do not think that interstellar travel is possible, at least not probable.

And I certainly don't believe that aliens have visited here.

What is the question? The Universe is huge, and we will probably never meet other intelligent life forms.
