The source of art is Libido, it's an assemblage of complexes.
The artist draws, shoots, writes, a reflexion of his inner soul, his state of mind, his believes, his fears... trying to get rid of it, or maybe trying to give it life, because human kind cannot fight something he does not see, we need a "proof", and when artists look at the piece of art they created, they feel like the control it, they are it's "God", it's creator, it wouldn't be a "problem" anymore. And since problems, complexes, fears, happy moments...are never ending, we will always see art, we might find some ugly, and some fantastic, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.

Philosophy is more to look deeper into those inner feelings..., from my point of view philosophers seek not to project those ideas, more then to identify it, understand it, study it, merge with it, then come up with philosophy.

Am I being a philosopher in here? :)

I have met many park bench philosophers who could easily paint the world with their verbal crap through the use of an agile tongue and a in depth vocabulary. Whatever brilliance they often displayed was for nought for i could always find a farmer with no education shoveling manure who had a geater insight to life than any philosopher that i have ever met.

What creates the difference is basically the bullshit that never really reaches a conclusion that is acceptable to all.

Art is a more general field than philosophy. while philosophy is a type of art form, art isn't necessarily philosophical.

Philosophy is interested in answering questions or at least posing a question.
Why? is very much a raison d'etre of the pursuit.

Art may answer questions, but its core is about expression. It can share experiences, images or thoughts without ever trying to ask why.
