communism allowed only single party. There isn't a lot of rivalry such in India. And china has a centralized system... which make any decision easier and faster to take by the government. Beside....china is more populous than India (bigger market for investor with the same production cost) so all money in the world goes to china, how could India more advance than china?

I don't think India is far behind China in general comparision. the difference you can see to compare is because the products and result of economic reform in China has started very earliar than that in India so that you mistakenly summarised it in end result rathan than period or project-based result. Like India, China internal problems is dimentionally huge and diversified as in India, and there are still many headaches remained untouched and uncurable in certain national interest due to some far un-reachable area and the many dielects varieties are so confused to the authority even to put them down to explain the goverment projects successfully. What you 've read and seen in the progresses in China is the official published articles to glorify their efforts and justify their achievement to win more recognitions and friends after years of communist rule and ostracised by the wests with couple of economic disasters and highly damanging cultural revolution frenzy. Chinese self-espect to the west has been seriously crumpled by years of westem vitimisation after the opium war by British , greedy 8-foreign nations occupation of Beijing, and the unscrupulous aggressive Japanese invasion, all these failures and foreign-caused national shames have repeatedly in-planted into the Chinese mind that they must succeed in every fields that they have embarked to achieve the goal of unification and economic strong and militarily powerful that they have suffered in the last century, a shameful century in the Chinese mind that it should never be repeated in the future.
But India has no such national calamity except ruled peacefully by the British for so long that they have neglected much of the community. Like China, these will take years to solve. But once it do, its success will be spectacular. The rate of reforms and development by Indian will be oustanding and be very fast as can be observed by their development of micro compurter science which is just superb beyond comparision, because of their English based education system which is far more better than Chinese mandarine in science subjects.
I am a Chinese, I spoke impartially as China has started earliar than India and it is not justified to compare a late starter like India for its slow progress but already shown some outstanding successes.

Once national integration is total success, you will see fantastic results! But till then, we will lag behind, because we don't combine wwell, there is no team work in India: everyone is north indian, south indian, tamil, kannada, gujju, mallu, maratha, up-ite, punjabi......or some such, rather than INDIAN : get the point? The day Indians truly unite ( I have carefully avoided mentioning some other divisive factors, ethnic and cultural), ...wow, you will see how we bring about world peace, all round prosperity and happiness to the whole world!

straightforward reasoning - India became area of the British Commonwealth and maximum Commonwealth international locations in Asia are far greater progressed than those of former Socialist international locations. although, with the "Open Door" coverage carried out by ability of China, the country is now advancing in a short while, whilst in comparison with India. whilst India manufactures heavy automobiles and diesel-powered automobiles, China's already began to enforce the utilization or maybe going to the initiating the producing of electric-powered automobiles. by ability of 2008, with the Beijing Olympics upcoming, China must be waiting for the international. electric automobiles and trains, instantaneous technologies and even perhaps the main progressed clean loos interior the international!

Because we believe more in comparing ourselves with others while they believe in putting efforts to improve their lives.
The winner of the sprint is not the one who keeps looking behind who far the one lagging behind is, nor the one who aims for the one who has raced ahead. The winner is the one who looks at the tagrope, targets for it, focusses on it and goes for it....
Now, do you wanna win the sprint???
