If so, how much to drink? I have restless legs during my sleep and was wondering if this could be a wholistic way of healing and avoiding the powerful drugs.

It is good: washes away toxins. About One lit. a day!

I'm not sure about tonic water, but normal water is supposed to be very effective as a general body requirement and health aid.
Some people advocate only using mineral water, but there seems to be mixed views, if you ring up any water company that provides water to your home you'll be amazed at what checks and processes it goes through to eliminate bacteria etc. I found a interesting article here http://www.alternative-medicine-online.com/Articles_water_cure.html about using water as a general health aid. My own philosophy is to drink tap water and plenty of it, at least 6-8 glasses a day and i feel fine.

Tonic water has lots of salt in it......what's wrong with plain water? Restless legs at night...try magnesium...

Mineral water is supposed to be good for detoxing your body. Eigh 8-ounce glasses of purified water a day will keep your body in good working order. This can relieve depression, help keep you regular and help give you more energy. You will be helping you body wash away toxins.

Carbonated beverages are not good for us. Google "Restless Leg Syndrome" holistic. I'm sure you can find some good options.
