Please help! Everytime I shave my legs which is about once a week I cut myself and the blood doesnt try for a good hr or two. This means on a night out I have to change my outfit and put on jeans. I dont want to wax as the hairs are never long enough. I have tried all shaving foam and sensitive razor blades but nothing works. I want to have nice smooth legs not sore legs with blood stains. Any suggestions please. many thanks

exfoliate lots and lots. This will remove the dead skin cells. Also use like a ton of shaving cream. And shave in the direction of the hairs (not against) and change your razor blade after using it one or twice. Also let you legs soak in the bath for about 3-5 minutes before shaving. Make sure you donn't have any ingrown hairs too. If you do, pluck them out with a tweezer, use some cream to get rid of them or if you're not too screamish use a needle. Try hair removal cream too as this doesn't hurt and won't cut you. Hope I helped!

Sounds as though you have ingrown hairs - if you get little bumps on your skin before the hair pops through, when you shave it you cut the top off the little bump. Try exfoliating with a body scrub or a body buff every day. And maybe try waxing, Nads is very good, in a really thin layer - if you've never done it yourself maybe book one at a salon. And if you want to keep shaving make sure the razor is changed often

Why don't you try out a Hair removing Cream or Lotion?
They work very good. All you do is put in on and let is sit for 5-10 minutes. Wipe it off and rinse it with luke warm water.
Your hair won't grow back for at least 3-5 days.
I prefer using Nair. It's a great product.
Here's the website to read all about it.

You can get Nair at Wal-Mart, KMart, Walgreens....etc.

You can also try Veet, it is also a Hair Removel Cream but they also carry Wax. Bu you said you don't wan to wax because the hair isn't long enough.
Here's the Veet website.

You need a better razor the mans Mach 3 is very good and don't apply alot of pressure on the razor as you are shaving, hold it lighlty and guide it up your leg. Shaving gel also helps with this and take your time and do it slowly till you get the hang of it.

Good luck.

p.s the men's razor s tend to be a bit more pricy but well worth it.

I always shave mine while I'm in the shower. First, let warm water run all over them (the warm water makes the hair & skin softer so it's easier to shave) then. Later them up really good with shaving cream. Then, take a fresh razor (a dull one will cause you to cut your self more) & slowly shave them from the bottom of your legs up to the top.(against the way the hair grows) Be very careful when shaving both the front & back of your knees. I have found that when I bend my knee, it makes it easier to shave the front of them & I put my legs straight & sorta bend backwards to shave the back. Make sure you rinse your razor every so often, so that you get a closer shave w/o the built up shaving cream getting in the way. After, rinse any remaining shaving cream off your legs & let the warm water run over them again.

I would recommend you use Ultra Shave, a dry shaving solution. It contains grape seed extract which is 15000 times stronger than vitamin E. It contains nothing but natural ingredients and is Parabens free.

Part of neck used to get nicked so often during shaving that it became impossible to shave without cutting myself, even with a safety razor. Since using Ultra Shave, my skin has completely healed and minor scarring has disappeared too.

Many people use it as a moisturiser after shaving as it contains great anti-ageing ingredients too.

Try and let your hair grow for a couple of weeks and get waxed, its worth it and you wont need to worry for a few weeks. Whilst waiting for hairs to grow wear trousers, Lets face it its not really the weather for mini skirts. If your really against waxing then use a cream instead, immac cream good although slightly smelly!
I would imagine your legs may be slightly dry if they bleed so much, do you moisturise your legs? if not then do, make skin more smooth as well. Good luck

use mens razors, they are made for the face so they work great for sensitive legs. Use soap and not foam or gel creams so your legs are not as slippery and you can see better what you are doing. also if you take a warm bath and soak your legs in the warm water or a while it makes your legs more suple so they wont be so likely to get cut. good luck!

Use the new blade-less razors. It comes with the foam that you just apply to your legs and let it sit for a few minutes. The razor is made of plastic. I use it and it is great. No cuts and no razor burn.

I read in some magazine to use hair conditioner as opposed to shaving foam and you know what it really works and the razor glides on through- give it a go! Just don't use your really expensive conditioner!
