try limewire, aresgalaxy or bearshare.
They are peer to peer file sharing programs. Although you must never download copyrighted files. Its against the law ;^)
note:
Batgirl, thats really odd you say its not free, maybe you are downloading the most recent versions of the software. In the case of each of the software you mention, older versions are totally free but they dont offer full access to file sharing.

I tried doing this too... Bearshare is NOT free either is Limewire! Why do you people insist on recommending these sites! She clearly said FREE! .........for god sake....
Ive tried most things looking for free downloads and its near impossible! These sites say "Free Free Free" but when you go looking for music you have to subscribe and pay whatever a month.. its b0!!0cks!

Yes Limewire is free, download the programme from c net and then you can download pretty much whatever tunes you want from it!
