the normal age to start college in ireland is from 17 onwards. suppose whenever you finish secondary school (highschool) dont think there any real rules aslong as you've got the points (grades)

we generally start 3rd level university around at the age of 17 / 18 after leaving secondary school (a much higher proportion of students continue second level education after the age of 16 in Ireland than the UK) I would guess though that what really matters is not your age but the points you get from your UK
A-Levels / Irish Leaving Certificate, if you don't get the right points you won't get in no matter what age you are. Good luck.

I think its 16, as that is the legal age for leaving school.
