With very few exceptions all words in English require a vowel. There are between ten and thirteen vowels in English depending on dialect and these are represented in writing by various combinations of the letters A E I O and U with some contribution from Y and to a lesser extent, W. The only English words in common use that do nor require a vowel are those using continuous fricatives or nasals such as Shhh! amd Hmmm.
