I don't think it is.
To the Americans: It's unfair that so much blood is being shed and so many people are being devastated. So much money, resources and military power is going into Iraq, that they have less for their protection at home. Their government is focussing a lot of their attention on Iraq and hence drawing it away from home-grown issues- the bad handling of hurricane katrina is an excellent example.
For the Iraqi people- there are two parts.
Many of the Sunni's (Saddam's "friends") believe that it's unfair, horrible and disgusting. They see it as intervention and sticking noses where they aren't wanted. It's unfair to them because it took away the favoroutism they were experiencing at the hands of Saddam.
As for the Shi'tes (The people Saddam punished under his rule), they probably think it's right. It's fair for them because they are glad about liberation from what they consider a horrible leader.
It all depends on whose perspective you're looking from.
