First things first, you need to have more players in the top order that show some attacking intent, not just Kevin Pietersen. I think that Mal Loye should be given an extended run, he showed good initiative in the match against Australia. I think that Vaughan should bat at 3, and try to play an anchor role to stay thru the innings and accelerate at the end, which would give players like Pietersen a better opportunity to attack from the start.
Only one of Bell or Collingwood should be in the side - Collingwood probably gets the nod as he seems to be a better one day player.
Chris Read needs to be introduced into the side in place of Paul Nixon, whos keeping seems to be in the Geraint Jones school if you ask me.
Bowling seems to be OK, and if they have a decent target to defend they may get somewhere! I am looking forward to the return of Liam Plunkett and seeing how he goes against this opposition.

Strauss, Flintoff, Collingwood and Pietersen are the only four players England have who are secure of a place in the side. Vaughan is but shouldn't be, as he's a poor ODI batsman. Read must play, he can smack the ball (even if he can't build an innings) and is far better standing up than Teflon Jones. Mal Loye should have been in the side two years ago, he might go to the World Cup in lieu of anyone better. Giles and Trescothick would be perfect if they were fit, as they're not we'll have to go with Dalrymple (the only good thing to come out of England's awful ODI 2006) and Bell. Seam bowling? I reckon Jon Lewis and Collingwood could be a real handful in the Caribbean, ditto Jimmy Anderson if he slows his pace a tad. The pitches there are mostly low and slow so two spinners, two medium-pacers and one enforcer (Flintoff) is, I think, the way to go.
My team would be:
Strauss (c)
Loye
A.N. Other (Bell, Joyce or Bopara)
Pietersen
Collingwood
Flintoff
Dalrymple
Read (wk)
Lewis
Anderson
Panesar

I'd like to see Paul Nixon dropped and replaced by Chris Read. Jamie Dalrymple has not been performing lately and should be supplanted by Keven Pieterson when fully fit. Ed Joyce should be given some opportunities to prove him self as he was the top-scorer in the England team against New Zealand.
If Michael Vaughan is injured, the captaincy should be taken over by Andrew Strauss, not Andrew Flintoff. Freddy plays the vital role of an all-rounder and if he was to be captain, the pressure keeps on mounting him.
The England Cricket Team can not only rely on Pieterson. The top order have to step up to the mark and post big scores.

With the way England has performed so a methods, i've got have been given faith it somewhat is by using potential of fulfillment they have made it this a methods. Ghana even performs so a lot greater desirable effective and are greater desirable consistent and desperate than the English could ever be. the england Vs Paraguay adventure replace into the main uninteresting interest I somewhat have ever watched i replace into truthfully falling asleep. there replace into no bypass to their interest and clearly there replace into no advice between the group. To replace right into a international champion isn't an elementary greater desirable healthy. Having a pair of extreme priced game enthusiasts does not assure England the international cup. Rooney has being located on a pedestal as though he's the international optimal acceptable participant, all he does is scream on the ref and protest on the same time as a decision is going against him. he's exceedingly much a spoiled brat that often decide to have his way. the international cup is a collection activity and on the same time as emphasis is located on one or a pair of game enthusiasts then there is difficulty. Brazil, Germany and France are international champion by way of fact of actuality it extremely is all regarding the group and not one or 2 solid game enthusiasts. decision and hobby for the interest is the significant and clearly England does not have it.

Apparently we've used 35 one-day players in the last twelve months so finding some consistency would be a good start!
Would drop Bell and have Pietersen at three. Nixon is good as a stop gap solution but he's not going to be around in five years. He shouldn't have played and they should have given Chris Read a chance to find some form with the bat.
Would drop Ed Joyce for Michael Yardy and Mal Loye for Alastair Cook.

I don't think we have a hope in hell at the world cup. i'm not just saying that as a knee jerk reaction to the ashes, because i think they'll get te test team sorted. The simple fact is we haven't had a good one day team for years, if ever. I think Mal Loye is a good player they should give him a good run. Reed back as keeper he's defo best one day keeper without a doubt. Dalrymple is a descent allrounder in the one day game but never ever put him in a test match. Don't let harmison anywhere near the team. Anderson and Lewis probably best of a bad lot.
my team would be
Strauss
Loye
Vaughan
Peiterson
Collingwood
Flintoff
Dalrymple
Reed
Lewis
Anderson
Paneser
but they still won't win

We need to come up with a definate batting plan and maybe try and bat 50 overs. Both dalrymple and nixon need to go they are not good enough at that level.
