My friernds kid drew on her monitor with a black permanent marker does anyone know how to get that stuff off... without damaging the screen...

Using alcohol swabs to scrub it off is definitely an option... but if you have no access to those swabs, here's a neat trick I always use to get the job done;

Just get a NON-PERMANENT marker and scribble over the black mark. Quickly use a tissue/towel to rub it off!
The science behind it is - the water soluble non-permanent ink (which also has come alcohol content) dilutes the permanent marker ink enabling it to be wiped off easily before it dries up again. TRY IT!

PS: I re-read your question and saw the LCD monitor... that could be a little nasty coz this method usually works on normal surfaces. Gee.. Good Luck trying tho!!!

I hav'nt tried it but Mr Clean Erasers claim to be able to remove magic marker marks

I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THE MR CLEAN ERASER ITS AWSOME FOR THAT, BUT IF IT DOESNT TRY THE OLD METHOD OF WINDEX AND A RAZOR BUT BECAREFUL
