In general, cyanide solutions are sweet in very dilute concentrations, becoming more bitter/burning as the conc is increased.

Many years ago, long before OSHA, I had a summer job in an electro-plating facility which used cyanide complexes in plating. Leaning over those hot vats, my sweat wd absorb some of the fumes, and transfer traces to the cigs I kept in my shirt pocket. They then tasted like Sweet Caporal cigs when smoked...if anyone here can remember the brand. :-)).

KCN is highly alkaline, must taste pretty bad and burning...but the pain probably does not last enough to register. The mouth is badly burned...or so the coroner says.

I assume you mean the infamous Potassium Cyanide or KCN. Well it has been reported to taste somewhat metallic however for the most part it probably wont be neither sweet nor sour. A suicide note left behind noted the taste, however is far from authoritative:

The burning, acrid taste is most likely due to the taste of HCN impurities, not KCN, both are deadly but HCN as also acidic, making eating it rather painful, if the man was a chemist, he would have obtained pure KCN, the K cation being non-abrasive to his tongue unlike the acidic H cation. But the best way to find out is to try for yourself.

I would say neither really, more sweet than sour really.

Potassium is in high concentration in bananas and potatos. And Cynide is from apple seeds, neither are too sweet or sour.

taste it and see... its hugely toxic, and not that readily available, so i don't understand why anyone would want to know the answer to that question.
