Someone I know told me that there is a religion worshiping haruhi and its called haruhism. Is it true?

it could possibly mean a religion - Haruhi is in the belief of aliens, time travelers and espers (extra sensory perception aka psychic),
but the term is used quite widely
it can be used as a fan description of the series as
the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya absolutely oozes with personality (namely Haruhi's)
even the urban dictionary's definition is weird

I believe that harhuism is a spoof of of treckies. It's a joke NOT a religon, not YET anyway *que ominous music* Ok, I'm just kiding.
