1) Refuse to pay money to grease any body's hands.
2) Do not yourself seek to do any thing illegally. Be on the right side of law.
3) Create forums to oversee that the authorities are doing the right things and that there are no consideration demanded or paid for doing the rightful things.
4) Create awareness about the need to cleanse our system free from corrupt practises. There should be public awareness about it. Whenever any wrong doing comes to light, people should not hesitate to agitate. Such movements should be organised in every village/town/cities.
5) A total revolution is the need of the hour.

it's impossible. money makes this world turn and as long as that's an issue, there will always be corruption in government. it doesn't matter who u put in there. if some lobbyist from the tobacco company wants to give you $15M to vote their way, you are going to take that type of money seriously. even if you are caught, you won't serve much time. the fines are bearable especially if you're collecting millions. you come out of jail a winner with millions in the bank.
that's why i don't care when people talk about how dems and reps are all corrupt and we should support a 3rd party. let's be real here. do you think a 3rd party would make any real difference when there's billions of dollars floating around capitol hill for the taking.
who do you think supports the green party for example? lobbyist dollars! they call em donations. same thing. everyone in govt is available for purchase. but it's like an upscale restaurant menu. you don't get a price til you make an order.
think about it like this. are you going to pay attention to the lil old lady who sent you $5 from her security check or the guy from that company who sent you $5M or the guy who can help you raise millions in funds (like jack abramoff). it's just human nature to be corruptible.

People must have the oportunity to challenge Gvt. authorities and political leaders for their curruption. so they will have the fear. Cut the musscle power of politics.
Before independece the King was the ruler. People did not have any power. So at the time of independence the rule has mede in such a way that the total power will go to people rather the elected leaders of people. Now this is time to put some regulations on leaders while executing powers by the leaders. Simply speaking punishment must be strong for political crimes.

When corruption happens, the person is basically screwing the entire country or state so punishment needs to appropriate. Make mandatory sentences begin at 10 years in a Federal maximum security prison, not some "club fed" minimum facility. May deter some from doing this if they know that the least sentence they'll receive starts at 10 years.

We always curse government for being corrupt. But what we are? We have right to speak against government and corruption only if we are honest enough ourselves.
We always say that government is not developing the country good enough? Have we paid our tax honestly before saying this?
We say that government is not making good policies and decisions. Have we taken pain to vote for our desired leader before spitting these words?
Coming back to the question of corruption, we are the starting point of it. There's no smoke without fire. We have "general knowledge" of "keeping small notes in our front pocket".
Secondly, the remuneration paid to government officers are like "penny for the palm tree". I heard a dialogue in a movie, it says that the salary paid to a police inspector is less than TDS of a manager in MN Cs. What do you expect them to do?
So its we, a root of corruption, which has to be dehydrated before questioning the government officers.

Theres a very simple and effective way, its called the Vote. When an election comes and the present Gov is not doing what you want you vote for somebody else, and if they don,t you lobby and hold that Gov accountable. What you don,t do is sit back and moan, thousands of people have died in the past to provide you with this right. In The U.S its called a Govement of the people, for the People.

yes corruption in the government just cant be controled it can be stoped.first of all try to understand who is corrupt and why,who is paying and why .it is verry well said" jaisa raja waise praja"in a democratic country it is "jaise praja taise sarkar".we citizens commit mistakes break the laws and then to get rid of the punishnent we request them to find some way,and i belive no way is for free, there has to be some prise.it all starts with we citizens living with out proper knowledge of the rules and laws of our own country.we people ignore crime and walk away ,we allow them to misuse the powers given to them to serve use.it is all about illitrate or halfeducated people dealing with eucated and protected babus and madams, dont we have honest goverment servents we do have.let use all be positive the change is taking plase . with more and more educated people coming in to politics this will be a different country one day.jai hind.

The American people would have to come together and "disband" it. why they still have the right to. If not it's going to take a civil war. One way or the other it's going to happen eventualy, if it does'nt then things like civil rights, right to privacy, etc. will be things future generations learn about in history class but never experience.
