Why do the toads sit still in the middle of the sidewalk? Are they sleeping? I nudged one, and it still didn't move. And those big red centipedes (yellow legs) freak me out. Are they known to sting people? I took a late night stroll. lol

THE TOADS AMAZED ME WHEN I FIRST MOVED TO KAUAI. THEY JUST APPEAR OUT OF NOW WHERE. AND THERE ARE 100'S OF THOSE SUCKERS. THE HAWAIIANS DON'T LIKE TO TOUCH THEM, I DON'T KNOW WHY THOUGH. THE CENTIPEDES WERE A NIGHTMARE FOR ME. AND YES THEY DO STING. I'VE NEVER BEEN STUNG PERSONALLY, BUT I KNOW PLENTY WHO HAVE. THE SMALLER ONES ARE WORSE, THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO CONTROL THEIR VENOM. TRY WAKING UP IN BED AND HAVING A HUGE ONE ON YOUR ARM, PILLOW, TICKLING THE BOTTOM OF YOUR FOOT. ALL HAPPENED TO ME. EEEEWWWW! HATED THOSE LITTLE BAS*****!!!!
