Everyone has weakness and i think a female president would bring love and compassion, and i think if the US overcame 9/11 then yes they are ready for a black president.

We are ready for a Black or female president if the individual has the qualifications for the job in the minds of the voters. The race or gender really doesn't matter to many voters, particularly younger voters. There have been female leaders of many nations such as India, Sri Lanka, Germany, Britian, Ireland, Liberia, Finland--a short and incomplete list. Many of history's great leaders were female: Catherine the Great, Elizabeth I, Queen Christina of Sweden--again, a quick short list. Maybe the better question is why so long for us to get there? Black leaders are also common, although most heavily in Africa, but not exclusively.

I don't think it shows a sign of weakness and I really think that Hillary Clinton will win the next election. Anyone who thinks that a female would be weak simply had to look at Mararet Thatcher who was PM for Britain in the 1980's. She was known as the Iron Lady and was a much tougher PM than the two men who followed her, John Major and Tony Blair. She was often able to tell Ronald Reagan what to do unlike Tony Blair who seems to be George Bush's lapdog. As for a black president I don't see why it couldn't be a success although I can't see it happening for the next 20 years or so

Echo the sentiment of enlightened folks not so fascinated w descriptive labels that don't provide any worthwhile indication of a leader capable of bringing the diverse peoples of OUR country back together with a common vision for our future.

The best candidate may not have declared their candidacy yet. The election is almost twenty two months away, but by then the choices will have narrowed to two...possibly three w an independent.

The primaries will begin in just over a year as they beat each other down to advance to the finals & seek the privilege of being ridiculed, scorned, libeled, scrutinized, & 2nd guessed by a poorly informed, untrusting, group so apathetic or lazy that less than half will even bother to vote......& even more who don't understand our process for voting, & would rather use the internet yo spread hate than learn. Yup that would be US !!

Let's demand all of the candidates tell us what they plan to do, & HOW they expect to do it. The climate where most of them from both parties merely state "I can do better than him" is not gonna cut it any better than voting for the white one , the black one, the woman, the old guy, the young guy, the charming one who speaks so well....anybody but ...whoever you despise.

If your plan is supporting the one who shares all your views 100%, you may be disappointed when the views start to blur.

Forgive the RANT, its passion not pretense. !!

They say that, do they? That's ridiculous.

We shouldn't go for any of a 'lady pres' or a 'black pres' or a 'Hispanic pres' or a 'white male pres', we should just try to find the 'right' pres - the best person on the issues.

That is how I plan to vote, in any event.

there is not any way of understanding one hundred% who the superb decision is; although i do no longer think of a girl could be head of the the international's optimum, influential u . s . a .. i understand there will be thousands of girls who will hate me for saying this, i'm a girl and do comprehend ladies can carry effective and influential positions - yet no longer the presidency of usa. She does no longer get the honour of many international leaders; like it or no longer, that's what i think of. As for a black president; sure, i think of it extremely is time. there have been many staggering, effective, influential black adult males taking part in considered necessary roles interior the government of usa. If a black guy's credentials equivalent or surpass those others working, then he could be elected. i won't be able to think of why all people could desire the activity of the President of usa, yet permit's wish the superb guy or woman wins. God Bless usa and we Canadians too.

Any politician sorry to say is tarred with he same brush
Male Female etc

True worldwide.Power = #1 reason for their existence.

Thats why we have corrupt Asian /African/ US countries.etc

USA ... $ buys power, not democratic ideals.
Billions spent on space race and wepons while kids starve in the poor areas.

Compare this to some European countries where
Citizen Initated Referendums
mean genuine issues can be raised by the voters and have to be acted on.

My mum would have made a good President....
Treat everyone equally and if they didn't eat their greens, no desert.
And make people be polite to one another..

It doesn't matter to me whether it's a white lady.....black man.....vice versus. As long as they can run this country without losing half the population to war while he/she relaxes at their ranch! We just deserve a trustworthy, selfless president no matter the gender or race.
