You have to pick a catagory when you ask a question and if you don't pick a catagory then I don't know what to tell you.

You probably answered a question in that category, or browsed that category, prior to asking your question. It sometimes defaults to whatever you were looking at right before you asked.

If you look properly at what you're doing, you'll see that it gives you the choice of where to categorise your question.
