I guess you are feeling pretty smug about now. You must feel you scored a real hit against the US Military. Makes you pretty popular amongst the majority of people who left responses.
Why are they the BEST? Well, I'm a bit biased but I don't think there is an Army in world that doesn't believe that the US Military isn't the best at what they do.

American soldiers are not good, thats why they send in the British or wait till the wars nearly over, look at vietnam or world war 2.
The British has the best army, as it uses tactics. My partner was in the army for 24 yrs and found the americans were nothing other than cowboys. Look at that British news reporter they shot dead by being idiots and firing like cowboys. They are too big for their boots and dont really have any victory of their own.
British Rule!

You have been watching too many American war films. They are the worst army in the world for shooting their own people. In the Gulf war they killed more Americans than anyone else. Hardly the work of a careful, considerate force.

If what you say is true it is because they have the best technical support. This was proved in World War Two. The USA was an industrial giant in terms of what the other countries had. A soldier, sailor or airman is only as good as his equipment.

Wow this is funny.,,, you dont mind if I laugh later, do you? After I send your address to the soldiers so they can respond to your humor personally.
Of course, YOU'VE grabbed a weapon and stood a post, correct?
No? Too bad, if you had, you WOULD realize the US fighting man and woman is the most intelligent, most highly trained and most responsible fighter in the world today. With some notible exceptions, US soldiers are taught to think rather than just attack. By contrast, the Soviet Army used the "KISS" method of training, "KISS" means "Keep It Simple, Stupid", the Sovs never put much stock in their soldiers' having critical analysis skills.
I believe everyone in the US, after High School graduation, should have to successfully complete the Basic Trainng cycle of the military service of their choice (as long as that choice is either Army or Marines, the other services are too wimpy- JUST KIDDING NAVY and Air Force), seriously, no US citizen gets a penny of College money until they complete Basic Training.

Because their government appreciate their Armed Forces and provide them with the best training and equipment that money can buy, unlike the UK where the government, Civil Servants and jobsworths like to waste tax payers money on asylum seekers and criminals rather than those who spill blood for their country.

The answer is that they aren't the best, not by a long way.
They failed to beat the Vietnamese, a tiny nation of undersized peasants armed with rusty shotguns and pointed sticks smeared with poo. Right now they are failing to beat the Iraqis, a considerably larger nation of angry hungry people, deeply annoyed that their nation has been occupied by a bunch of semi-literate death metal fans employed by oil company lobbyists.
My dad served in the US Army and if he weren't dead now, he would be disgusted with what the US military has allowed itself to become.

That is just a claim, they have shown their cowardliness and brutality in all wars, for example in Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, what they did is totally against laws and humanity, I think you should be ashamed for their actions.
Their policy makers torched a civil war in Iraq in order to save their own lives and interests.
