It's not the religion that would come between you guys. It never did. It's the sick mentallity of people thinking that there are different sets of human races and each persaon belonging to a set must pertain to itrs own set.....

Nobody is muslim or a hindu because he/she is born in that family. He/she is hindu or a muslim or a christian because he/she is developed in that culture. RELIGION IS AN INDUCTION of FEW ETHICS INTO US. IT'S NOT OUR IDENTITY. It's something we need to follow to lead a stable, healthy and hygenic life, not to create discrimination. If you study the rituals of your religion carefully you will understand that it is technically oriented more towards mental and physical fitness of a person and not towards other religions.

I've seen a few inter-racial marraiges nad seen them get along well.... You two have already accepted each other inspite of the religious differences because there's a human being inside you who is out of the religious bounds. Come on set yourself free. What has religion got to do with love...

You have a lucky opportunity to blend tweo different great cultures. Go ahead...

:-)

Of course, the Muslims wanted the Hindu to be converted and circumcised, called him Abdullah, other wise you are letting your parents pride down the drain. These is a family pressure, have seen many Muslims try to convert but some ran away. You too can run away with your boyfriend. Sometimes I have seen parents committing suicide because the daughter ran away with a man and some were living dead thinking of their daughter.
You have to make choice Muslim or Hindu, you parents or your future husband.
If your parents are modern than it is ok and if they are fanatic than you are dead. Leave your BF and look for another Muslim man. I don't think the Hindu have a problem being converted but again they might feel let down. It is all about PRIDE!!! YOU UNDERSTAND!!!

According to Hindu's " Hindu is born as Hindu "
According to Muslim's " Muslims are brought up as Muslims "
So, there is lot of differences, its better to give up your idea, try to marry a Muslim, by doing so you can prevent violence, dont give a chance for Cummunal Violence. LET THE NATION BE IN PEACE

Unless your man becomes a Muslim.

Why the utter ignorance?! Atheists know there are no such things as gods so they would not, indeed could not, be hindu or Muslim but they can follow any religion that does not have a god and Buddhism is the largest of the atheist religions!

Yes i feel that it will over time... Religious differences are a big thing if you do not believe the same way.... I do not believe you should ever marry someone that does not have the same religious beliefs or faith that you have.... Talk with your parents and see what they think or have to say about it or even talk to your religious leaders and ask for their advice or opinions on this matter.

If you value your religion, then you should keep away and forget about it. However if your parents are secular extremists, then there will be no problem. but the children out of that liaision will have big problems in the future. what if you want to take your religion seriously in the future? you will have to divorce him unless he is willing to freely convert. That is a very BIG risk. What if he wants to take HIS religion seriously.
