What chord results if I play a minor triad with a major 7th?

It is just a minor chord with a major 7th... i.e. CmMajor7 is the chord that contains the I,iii,IV,VII of the c Major scale...

e.g if you played an "Am" chord with a major 7th, the result would be "Am add mj 7th". or Am[#7] as used by George Harrison in his song "Something"

Either augmented or diminished.....not sure which. If I'd got my box with me and could play it, I could tell you.
