It was just a normal test not an early responce one, so does this mean i mught be further on than 3 to 4 weeks, was it just lucky that the test came up as positive so early.

Many thanks.

I think it was just a good test and was able to detect lower levels of hcg than others. My husband and I were trying for baby #3 and tested 4 days before my period was due...got a very faint positive line. Tested again...and again..and again lol - the line got darker with each day that passed and finally after my period never showed, tested again and it was really positive. I'm now about 5 weeks! I would wait until the day after your period is supposed to start, then test again just to be sure :) Congratulations and the best of luck to you!

No honey, it does not mean that you are any further along than you thought you were. UNLESS, your last "period" was not a period at all. Did you have a pretty normal period last time or was it just some light spotting? Did it last the usual amount of time? If it was a normal period I would just say that you got a good test, fresh morning urine and good strong hormone levels. The at home tests are getting better all the time.
Your hormone levels can be high for a couple of different reasons but if that is the case your doctor will talk to you about it.
You should celebrate! I am happy for you!

Repeat the test and make a Dr. appt to start prenatal care. I had a positive home pregnancy test almost 3 weeks before my period was due. I went to have a blood test done to confirm and it came out positive too. I was only 2 1/2 weeks pregnant though according to my ultrasound scan at 6 weeks 3 days. These test are more effective now a days. Congrats!

It is possible...I am now 37 weeks pregnant and I tried the same test like 5 times...1 minutes it was positive the next it was negative. I waited about another week and tested again, made a doctors appointment and confirmed I was pregnant and exactly how far along I was. And yes in my case I was further than I thought. Good Luck and may God Bless!!!

Many home tests are enhanced now and new technologies have allowed for pregnancies to be confirmed earlier ( only by days) i would probably think you are still at the 4 week stage ..
Congratulations ..

you are pregnant so congrads!!! Your hormones must be very strong to tell so soon but make sure you go to the doctors and have another test taken anyways. Did you have your monthly last month? You have to be a few weeks pregnant for it to show. good luck

you cant have a false posititve - so looks like your pregnant just means you did it slightly earlier than you normally would
