Can I just say before I start that any saddos with stupid or derogative answers need not get involved!

I was on depo for over 2 years, straight onto Microgynon Pill and now am off both and trying for a baby. Will my cycle return normal soon? Also is there any chance of pregnancy before my cycle returns to normal?

Hello , i do not know much about the depo but i myself take microgynon and when i came of that when we were planning my last baby i got pregnant within 2 months ( used condoms the first month tho to make sure the pill was completely out of my system ) So with microgynon i was more or less fertile straight away ..

the first thing you should have done is see your doctor but if i should answer ill tell you to give it some time. microgynon is qite a strong pill so give it a few more months to tottaly run out of your system. posibilities of getting pregnant are slim but generallt women that had been on the depo 4 2 years need to wait for the cycle to go back to normal. good luck at having that baby.

it can take a long time after going off the pill and the shot to conceive and even to get a regular cycle back. 5 yrs is not uncommon.

I have heard that it takes a while for the depo shot to wear off.

well it all depends and varies for each women... if you still have the leaflet it says that it can take anything from 6months to a year.
obviously this doesnt mean that you cant get pregnant for 6months its just a guide...

hope it helps

you are expecting to get good solid medical advice in yahoo answers?

do yourself a huge favor, ask the doctor who had you on these meds, he paid big bucks for his education.
