I've been having sex with my current boyfriend (we've been together for almost 3 years) for the past 5weeks (unprotected) and no brith control, but haven't had a period since the middle of November.

I took a blood pregnancy test a week ago, but it came back negative.

Could I still be pregnant?

Pregnancy tests are not accurate until 1-2 weeks after ovulation. If you conceived in December it may be too early for the test.

But don't worry, you will get pregnant. Random acts of intercourse achieve a 24% pregnancy rate per cycle. If you have sex on good days it is 31%-68%.

So your trying. What are you going to name the baby?

Are your cycles usually regular? If they are and this is completely abnormal for you, then I would say that there is a good chance that you could still be pregnant. Wait another week and then test again using First Response (the best brand in my opinion), or wait a week and go the doctor for a blood test - they tend to be the most reliable.

You may be stressing so much that your body is convinced that you are pregnant. This happens all the time. You can re-test, or go to the doctor for a blood test.
