I'm going to be straight up and blunt about this...
Binary plans are the worst possible pay plans to be involved in.
They have 2 legs...a strong leg and a weak leg and you have to balance both in order to get paid. You only get paid on the weak leg volume. The average person canNOT succeed in a binary plan. Your success in network marketing depends on how duplicable your system is. The people you sponsor need to be able to do what you did in order for everyone to succeed. Only a small fraction of people succeed greatly in binary pay plans and most of the money goes to the guy at the top.
This type of plan as well drives a behaviour of recruit RECRUIT RECRUIT...The more you recruit the less you sponsor into your business. MLM is NOT about recruiting...it's about relationships...if you're paid to recruit, you won't have time to build the relationships that will make your business prosper for the long term.
Also in binary plans, there's a lot of 'deal making' at the higher levels where people receive offers to get placements high up the payscale with huge volumes beneath them. This deceives them into thinking that the volume means they'll have a huge check. This volume represent strong leg...on which you're NOT paid...so you will have to build out the weak leg.
Also in binary plans, you usually earn very small amounts per person you sponsor into the business. This means that you will need more and more people to achieve whatever your income goal is. Since most people in network marketing are part timers, they won't have the time to find the people to generate the income that they wish to earn. For example I've seen binary plans where you need about 3300 people to earn $10,000 per month. I've also plans where you need 2800 people to earn the same...Can part time people EVER build such a size group? No way. Therefore you will work work work and earn small or just average checks. I've thoroughly checked out these things and eventually found myself in a company that's NOT a binary plan and I need about 400 people to earn $10,000 per month. This makes sponsoring easier for me because part time people(which ALWAYS make up 95% of your group) can build a group of 400 people to earn $10,000 per month instead of trying to find 3300 or 2800 people.
That's quite a mouthful.
Hope the info helps you.
