I have a fountain that splashs water on the floor and there is white stains in the colored grout near there. Any idea on how to clean that? When its wet it looks clean, but as soon as it dries, it's still there.

Vinegar. Pour it on the spots, leave to soak overnight and then rinse off. Easy!

There are several cleaners on the market that will do this...first check to see if any of your bathroom cleans have any "hard water" cleaners in them...toilet bowl cleaner will work normally, and normally says "hard water rings" or "calcium rings" on it somewhere. Humidifier cleaners have the highest concentration of the chemical needed to break down hard water stains; and last the most mild of these that you probably have in the house already is straight vinegar.Pour it on and let it sit for awhile..."awhile" depends on how bad the staining is; vinegar might take several applications....With all of these suggestions: Wear Gloves ! Eye protection wouldn't be a bad idea either.

C.L.R. comes to mind. Calcium, lime and rust cleaner. I'm not sure if you are familiar with it. But C.L.R. is the actual name. Any drugstore will have them. Walmart probably carries it too.
