Not really,dont think itll do that in the near future.Maybe a bollywood smash hit makes 40 million,but a smash hit in hollywood makes almost a billion dollars worldwide.The difference in that sum shows the distance between hollywood and bollywood....
Its not necessary that bollywood beat hollywood,we have our own market and our own fans.Around 2 billion people watch bollywood movies... we might not beat them in box office collections,but still our appeal is huge and people watching our films love them,so that should be enough and make us proud.

Oh yeah...In near future bollywood beat hollywood. India is fast developing country. After china we are 2nd in population. We will beat hollywood within 5 year as per our GDP is one up from 7.8 to 8.9. Hollywood stars are coming in India for show and shooting.

I know this is going to sound strange, but it's a matter of quantity over quality (a very loose term). Bollywood puts out so many more films than Hollywood but Hollywood generally puts out better movies.

No way, because they copy all there material from Hollywood (even the name Bollywood). Bollywood are plagiarizers and should be sued for copyright infringements. All they do is take a good Hollywood movie and add somes songs and thats it. Its sad cause the director gets all the credit for doing basically nothing.

i'm not sure, but i think it has because bollywood produces twice as many films than the usa each year...i think records have already called it the biggest movie industry in the world...

NO i don't think so...it has a REALLY long way to go...the bollywoode storylines are always almost similar...they need to spice it up a bit and change the story line...it has too much of fantasy in it...how is it possible that out of nowhere by the mountains a group of dancers will join the hero and heroine and they'll all dance the same move...?

Personally i think they will .being an absolute bollywood fanatic myself...especially as theyre doing so well and if they have english subtitles then theyll do better internationally so that everyone can understand them..
