I have a rover 75 on a 52 plate .just done the cylinder head ,preasure tested and skimmed head .engine starts and drives but very sluggish when excellerating know its NOT coil pack or leads, spark pulgs, timing ,valves,fuel,just not right HELP

I had the same problem on a ford escort and it was the valve timing not the ignition timing, cam belt only needs to be one notch out and it will still run but sluggish, Hope this helps!

Make sure the cam pulleys were put on the right way as they key on the camshaft can fit into two locations on both pulleys. It's a very easy mistake to make and doesn't result in damage (normally). Look for EX and IN stamped on the pulleys and put the key on the corresponding camshaft in that slot.

The k series engine never runs right after the head goes. Sell it is my advice.

just a guess, if it has a cambelt did you put it back correctly. One tooth out will cause the problems you have.

Are the injectors and throttle body clean?

not timed up right may be did you roust it my have did valve in or pisting ring

check the carb, sounds like jets worn or blocked

did you break of forget to hook up any vacuum lines?
