Dudes...this is a serious question despite the "topic".

I'm a college student, 21 and I'm fairly new to gay sex.

I'm kind of confused as to why I am drawn to a more rough type of sex, meaning, with scenes that involve slings and FF ...with guys who are big muscle guys wearing leather and chains, piercings and tattoos etc. etc. (always safe though)

I mean I hang out with dudes like me who are college students, in jeans, cargo shorts and I'm attracted to the "college" types..like the A&F guys ... so to speak.

Why do I have this dark "dungeon" rough side of me when it comes to sex? Quite honestly I don't get it.

Is there a psychological "study" I can refer to?

Caro Matteo

You're fine - you've just identified a fetish preference in yourself. Is it way out there? "Yes" for vanilla types, "No" for others.

We all have secret (&/or dark) desires - you're just being healthy in seeking to get them fulfilled.

Ciao é va bene

You might do some research about 'constructions of self' in both literary studies and psychology, which explore why each individual male 'creates' a masculine version of himself, based upon various influences in our lives.

There are also explorations of 'hyper-masculine' constructions on self in cultural studies books on 'Queer Identity.' I hope this helps.

The feeling of being sexually debased under the guise of emotional intimacy during 'rough' sex intrigues you because it serves to keep your 'forbidden, dark, rough, uber-masculine daddy figure' at a distance. You love the role play of being 'sullied' without having them love YOU!

You are making them attracted to a 'dirty' gimmick as opposed to being attracted to YOU!

Make sense? Feeling 'dirty' in a sleazy environment stops them subconciously from respecting you and without respect they can not love you. Which suits you just fine, on a subconcious level.

There is nothing wrong with that. Every one has their own preferences. At least you know exactly what you like and don't like.

"Study"?

You want to read psychology texts when you could out be having fun?

Yes, that is odd!
