You need a wireless router.

Check to see if your laptop has a built in wireless.

Start > Control Panel > Network Connections

Check to see if you have an entry saying "Wireless Network Connection". If its not there, you don't have built in wireless. It it IS there but says "Disabled" by the side, double lick it to enable it.

If it's there and already enabled, you need to make sure you have the configuration (security keys) setup correctly on the laptop to match those that are setup on the wireless router.

If you don't have built in wireless, then you can buy a USB wireless dongle, or a wireless PCMCIA card for about £25.
