I couldn't get to work today. Just about one hour earlier from now I tried to go out taking my car for a spin to see how the situation is.
All roads are still blocked (at least in my area). Life has become very difficult if not impossible in the part of the world.
I'm sorry to say that I have lost hope on Lebanon a long time ago. I cannot wait till I figure out a final solution for this situation.
Are we stupid enough to destroy our country again? That question goes for those who are illegally blocking Lebanese roads. They cannot live in a democracy and do not deserve to. They do have the right to protest, but they have no right whatsoever in denying me my right of working.
What part of the above don't they understand? They have to learn to live UNDER the law. Blocking roads is what gangsters do, not good citizens
Thank You

It looks like we are stupid...I don't understand don't the leaders of opposition and the guys in the government see what is happening? Don't they care about destroying the country or they only care about who wins or who loses.
I always thought that it would never happen again, I mean how could it happen again, we don't feel hatred towards any other Lebanese but where is this hatred coming from now.
It's so sad, really.
It makes me sick.
I know that we will oversome all that crap and life will go on...but this is too much...sometimes I think it's not worth it, staying and hanging on and all that.
WE LOVE LIFE...WE F * C K I N G LOVE LIFE TOO
Edit
-----
Moneymaker...what do you mean by we were blind or scared or whatever???? if you honestly believe that in Lebanon there is one party better than another then you are wrong...Hezbollah is not better than Saniora government and Saniora gov is not better than Hezbollah...they all want their best interest no one gives a fuc*king sh*t about Lebanon or the Lebanese...Personally I cannot find with which of the two I should side I don't like them both and many people feel the same as I do.
Ironically with all our flaws Lebanon is the most democratic country in the world...YES it is...remember when no one wanted Bush and he won by re-count in Florida...Democracy...remember when no one wanted the war against Irak but they went and did it anyway...democracy
I think democracy means the will of the strong nowadays and not the will of the most
I still have faith...sucking it up for the nth time and restarting our lives with whichever thing is left...BTW I think that the Lebanese have seen it all, nothing can bring us down ever...not even a nuclear war, we will be the only survivors along with the cockroaches
PEACE

You guys saw the symptoms for the longest time!
You chose to be blind for as long as you could be!
Sucks to see what your fake "belief in peace" will do to your country, doesn't it?
You cannot have such radical elements have their way, and keep pretending that it is only best for your country!
You knew the truth for the longest time, but were scared to speak up!
You wanted to avoid war at all costs, and now you got one!
I hope, for your sake, that you can take your country back from these savages.
I wish you to be brave, and to always know right from wrong.
Kate, you cannot see who to side with?
Hezbos are as good as the current Govt. in your eyes?
I don't believe your honesty. I believe that you keep on lying to yourself. I guess that majority in Lebanon do just the same.
I hope you can achieve peace, but I knew that this was going to happen, and I predict that within next couple of years people will stopped on Lebanese highways, and executed simply based on their religious beliefs, just like it took place in the 70s.
And why? Because people like you refuse to see colors other than pink.
I sincerely hope I am wrong.
P.S. At the time the US was going to go to war against Iraq, most people did, in fact, want that war.
P.P.S Oh, and Kate, Saniora Govt. is better, because they aren't a terror group.

This is what i have been saying all along, for those that are supporting hezbo and their actions are purely BRAINWASHED into believing that this terrorist group is actually working for the good of ur country. In a Democtratic and FREE country, when you have politicians not agreeing on an issue, they don't walk out and resign and point fingers at others for thier misery and work on destroying a whole country, it's economy, safety etc. Only in Hezbola land :-)
Moneymaker, your post ROCKS!!! If that does not get absorbed by their Brainwashed mentality, i don't know what will.
Wake up people, ur country is a third world country, it has nothing to offer the world, so stop thinking that ur neighbors want a piece of u, your country is always begging for help and asking for donations form other countries just to pay their bills, everytime u get urself into an unwanted and stupid war, you ask for help, for other countries to the rescue, GROW up. Yoyur country is as messed up as u allow it to, the people and the political groups that u vote for. Do not be BRAINWASHED!!!!!!
My 2 cents >> :-))
Moneymaker, your post Rocks!!! If what u said still does not penetrate the measly Brainwashed, there is nothing teh world can do for these idiots, their lives will truly suffer and they will be brainwashed to believe it is the right course. How funny!! All i can say it, Tick Tock, Tick Tock, the clock is Ticking!!

We should again thank hezbollah which got us nothing but hatred and war and all kind of disasters in Lebanon. Intead of he going to have a peace talk and forcing the govt. to do what is "good" to Lebanon he is doing the completly diffrent thing by maing things worst in Lebanon and trying to make another civil war.
The most funny part is Michael Aoun when ever he attack France and he has been hiding there like a (something) since 1990, he forgot what favour France did for him.

Lebanon is great...lebanese is a surviver race....but.........till when???
Why still lebanese are divided? Why christians go by one side and muslims by the other? Havent had enough with the 70's war? Why inside muslims now they are sunnit by one side, and shias by the other? I, (as lebanese living outside Lebanon, but loving it as much as the lebanese living inside), can realize that if ALL lebanese dont join without care about religion, will be "eaten" by the neighbours...You all know who are the ones that want Lebanon back , I dont need to name them..
But..........till in Lebanon pple care more about the religion in the south, middle or north, and till religion be in the govern, problems will be present always.
Why to mix religion with state?? State has to be laic.....religion in the churchs and mosques...................and politician in the presidence and parliament.....without care about the religion.
Lebanon is a democracy..........but, is it a real one?. How can anyone understand that if it is a real democracy, Lahoud got more time at the presidence, without voting? I'm sorry, that is not a democracy. Is not a democracy that the president in one nation,, works for another country. It is not a democracy when some pple allowed Hezbollah to own almost all the south of the country as if it is another different country. It's not a democracy when pple .......brothers from same country, fight ones against the others only bcoz think different.
That's the base of a democracy.. To know how to live together in spite of the differences and respecting everyones. lebanon has to learn to be tolerant with lebanese pple.
I wish....that all the lebanese, include us that are outside, work together to avoid a new disaster, and that can get a Lebanon stronger without all the bad politicians that has nowadays and that only care about their pockets and power.
Is time to allow new generations work for Lebanon. To rule with open mind for ALL lebanese, and not only for some. There are hundreds of intelligent young women and men that can make good things for our country
Let's give them the chance !!!!!!!!!
Peace for Lebanon!!!!
totally agree with John Smith and Violet...... I wish more pple think as you both do

Sad, Sad, Sad...
As a christian, the sight of 2 opposite camps on Nahr el Kalb with the army between us will haunt me forever.
One word to Michel Aoun: this is the second time you are given power and twice you divided us.
please don't say you have our best interest in mind.
If you think you are representing the christians and their interests please go back to France. Believe me I would much rather they throw us all together in the sea than see us fight each other with such animosity!!!
You know the proverb: tell me who your friends are I'll tell you who you are? look at the calibre of people you have had to ally with to get where you are: Michel el murr? Sleiman frangie? Omar Karame? we'am wahhab? for heaven's sake!! can you steep any lower??
You have pushed your personal vendetta against a few people into a desperate and dangerous game that we are paying for.

If these people "demonstrating" or shall I say "demolishing" ought to rule Lebanon, then we should kiss the lebanon we know goodbye.
PS: one's freedom stops when others freedom begin.
