Man is body, soul and spirit. The Bible says the spirit goes back to God who gave it and the soul goes to its eternal destination - heaven (if you know Jesus as your personal Savior) or hell (if you have rejected Him). And our body goes back to the dust from which it was created.

After death...
The soul alone does not leave the body. The causal body
composed of all the karmas and the electrical body leaves together
with the soul at the moment of death. As long as there is worldly
life, the electrical body will be present in every living being. The
electrical body is always present when the causal body is formed.
Every living being has an electrical body, which carries out the
natural bodily functions, such as digestion and circulation etc. The
electrical body is also responsible for your vision and other
physiologic activities. The soul does not have any anger, pride,
attachment or greed. These anger, pride, attachment and greed
are all mediated through the electrical body.....................

Time Between Births
Questioner: How long does it take for the soul to leave
one body and enter another?
Dadashri: No time at all. As it is leaving one body, it is
also simultaneously present in another womb. This occurrence is
in concurrence with the moment of the union of the sperm and the
egg. When the time comes for the soul to depart from one body,
the circumstances and the event at the other end is also taking
place the reception of the soul. Therefore after the body’s death
the soul goes directly into another embryo. So there is no need to
worry about what may happen in the time ahead. After death
another womb is acquired and upon entering that womb, all the nourishment and everything necessary for its life there is
immediately provided for

You can't get the answer from here because it is not known. People may B.S a lot, but nothing is proven. Following are few theories.

1. There isn't anything called soul. It's a continuous flow of energy. It's like electricity. It passes through wires and activates many things. If the battery dies, there won't be any current.

Above is the answer I believe.

2. Soul is conserved. Total number of souls in this universe is conserved. If a soul dies here, it will born somewhere, not necessarily in the same form. So, the total number of living things is always same.

Sounds like some philosophy. Interesting to read.

3. Souls go to hell or heaven based on their acts.

Sounds like philosophy again. I feel this is introduced to make sure people do good always. No harm in believing this either.

4. Souls are nothing but parts of a bigger soul.

Sounds like saying that everyone is the same. More philosophical than scientific.

4. Souls of 'particular religions' believers go to heaven. Rest go to hell.

Most B.S theory. If you believe it, then you have a nonsense soul.
This has neither science background nor a good purpose.

If you can sift through all these answers and reach mine, I can tell you as it's already known to every learned Muslim. After death, the dead can hear the footsteps of those alive walking away. Every living thing, animals and plants can hear the wails of the wicked as their soul is rested from their bodies, like wool beaten with a branch of thorns, as it described, whereas the good man's soul will will drip out of his body like water from a fount. The reason that man can't her the wails of the dead is because no man would bury another so fearful are the cries. Then you will be made to sit in your grave and visited by 2 angels, they have names, not sure, they will ask you three questions: Who do you worship? What is your religion? and who is your prophet? Those who have an answer will be shown their seat in hell and their seat in heaven. If they have no answer, their seat in hell will be shown them and the flames of hell will lick their feet. For those who have a good soul, their grave will be made spacious for them and the sweet scent of heaven will come into the grave. Those who have been wicked will suffer. The earth around them will be made to constrict their bodies so that rib will close upon rib. This will be their fate until the day of resurrection. The dead even receive the blessings and kindnesses done by the living for them. The dead can also hear the living so you should always ask mercy for the deceased. The deceased can no longer perform any deeds so you reward your dead father or dead mother by asking forgiveness for them and mercy upon them as they have raised a good son. /daughter.

After death is a complicated questions.Because no one has seen it or felt it .But as per my knowledge ,what i have learned through my masters is, after death the soul again takes another life, it depends upon the karmas which we have accumulated in this life. As the sufferings which we are now going on is also the karmas of our past life.It depends upon the soul to soul. In fact the soul is travelling ,from one life to another depending upon the action what we do.

Say that death is a complex variety of events occurring all thought your body. Say that death is a legal matter. Say that I experience those things. Say that I am in California, that is the state I'll be in. Following that I'll will be wept over by my friends and family and ignored by most. I'll be interred in a veterans cemetery, and will live on in memory and in the genetic material of my daughter and my grandchildren.

there is no death to a soul? it's only a repeat process of soul taking a different bodily form...change of the physical body and re born as another but the soul remains the same.

hey man there is no life after death. why don't you understand that we are like any other creature on the earth. we have the power of imagination. I am sure that these concepts of soul, second birth, previous birth, life after death is a fruit of that imagination power. after death our identity will be vanished from this planet earth....so better think of making such an identity which people will remember after your death also. by this way you can be on earth in the minds of people.

it depends .... if you have accept the flow , so you move to see about your next reincarnation , seeing your beloved people , remember everything about all your past lives and what lessons you learn it and what lessons you would like to learn it in the next life ....
but if you still attached to earth for a reason , so you'll not move until you accept the flow
Love 2 you
