nothing, they will only hear you if you are speaking on a topic that is on their agenda for that week. If not they will simply dismiss you and not let you speak. So basically nothing.

To discuss issues pending before the City Council.
To Vote on items pending before the City Council.
To hear public and requested testimony on items in meeting agenda.
To allow Councilmembers the opportunity to make soundbits that will (hopefully) be used on the evening news, local newspaper, and/or re-election capaign material (so people think they are working).

Our board members pick themselves up another $150.ea and usually hide in executive session all night.
(executive session ) means they go in a rm by them selves and leave the public in the meeting rm til they get bored and go home.
