Sam Elliott, his wife Katherine Ross & their daughter Cleo in the early 90's @ Buckskin Joe's Theme Park in Colorado.
They were making the western movie "Conagher" (a Louis L'Amour film) there & while my hubby was stationed @ Fort Carson, CO. we had season passes to the theme park.
If I remember correctly only persons w/ a season pass were allowed in the park during filming.
We had our video camera & I actually unknowingly walked in a "saloon" during a scene & Sam asked the security how in the "bleep" did I get in there. LOL
And I have it captured on film!!! :o)
Then he was to give an interview to a local tv station & our kids asked him for an autograph & he told them he would after his interview (I also videoed his interview).
As soon as his interview was over he looked around & asked, "Where is that little girl who asked for my autograph?".
He actually looked for her & gave our son & daughter both autographs AND posed for photos.
As did his wife!!
Funny thing was when we 1st entered the park we had stopped to look @ some beautiful horses & a little girl was playing w/ them & our daughter who loves horses & her started a conversation.
She was bragging saying they were HER horses.
We were like yeah, right! LOL
Turns out they WERE her horses, her Dad was Sam Elliott!
She was Cleo Elliott!
They were VERY nice & acted like normal folk!!!

Both:

Good - about 30 years ago, I was at The Westchester Classic Golf tournament (NY) and was watching my favorite golfer, Gary Player, at the practice range hitting golf balls before he teed off. As he was walking off the range toward his golf cart, I told him he was my favorite golfer. He said "Thank you, Lassie, Hop aboard!" I did, and we enjoyed a nice chat all the way to the clubhouse where he then introduced me to Tom Watson and Johnny Miller! I got all their autographs that day and was thrilled!

Bad - Again, years ago, I was shopping at our local Caldor store in Connecticut when I noticed Dorothy Lyman ("All My Children", "Mama's Family") shopping in one of the aisles. I went up to her very quietly as to not expose her to other fans, and told her how funny she was and that I enjoyed her as an actress/comedienne. She didn't even look at me, but practically growled for me to leave her alone! Why is it that some celebrities don't appreciate their fans who made them famous to begin with?!

well my experience was good. i went to an ashlee simpson concert and my friend and i were waiting behind the theater to get her autograph. we waited about and hour and a half. she came out and she stopped to take pictures with the fans and to sign stuff. i got her autograph on my I AM ME c.d. it was awesome. she's not one of those stuck up celebrities and she actually takes time to do stuff for her fans.
