I live in the city of Bristol (UK) and i am constantly jumping out of the way of prats on push bikes. If your over sixteen and wish to ride abike why not ride it on the road, if your not comfortable with riding on the road then don't ride a bike if i want to get knocked over i would walk in the road!

AS a London cyclist of more years than I care to remember, I too hate to see cyclists riding on pavements except where they are designated as being for the use of cyclists as well. It is these thoughtless selfish idiots that give genuine responsible cyclists like myself a bad name. Even where paths are shared by both, cyclists should always be aware of and give way to, pedestrians, especially children or adults with children.

As for the comment about many of us beeing 'green'; I don't see that there is anything wrong with that. I am not trying to take the 'high moral ground', but by cycling rather than using a car or even public transport, I am creating less harmful emmisions than those who do use other forms of transport, and that is my personal choice.

I would hate to see restrictions or curbs (no pun intended) being placed on cyclists because of the actions of a few irresponsible people. Cycling is a healthy and environmentaly friendly means of transport and I am happy to promote it as much as possible

Of course they should. They are particularly dangerous because you can't hear them. (Psychedelic stick insects). Unfortunately, some of them are not much better on the road, because they think that they hold the high moral ground. (I bet most of them are left wingers or Greens). I am also not happy about the increasing number of (so called disabled, because increasingly, many of them aren't) motorised buggies whizzing around supermarkets. I have even heard them peeping shoppers out of
the way. They are a danger to young children and they are a nuisance on the roads. They need controlling.

However, if you want to experience cycling stealth bombers, go to Amsterdam. You will need 360 degree vision and acute hearing, as well as a very clear definition of what constsitutes a pavement.

I used to artwork in London whilst i grow to be 18 19 and bicycle proprietor consistently bypass crimson lights and hit pedestrians, maximum of them will holiday off as how could desire to you tell who they're. I observed a bicycle proprietor biking down a one way street and he or she have been given run over by skill of a taxi. She died on the scene and it grow to be disgusting to work out. it may desire to of been prevented so truthfully aswell, fortuitously there have been a number of witnesses to assert it wasnt the taxis fault. If she could have long previous the subsequent street down and further 2 minutes to her experience she could be right here now. Cyclists could desire to have quantity plates and could pay street tax. I consistently get them lean on my motor vehicle in london in the event that they los stability at site visitors lights. If it doesnt depart a scratch it leaves a grimy paw mark on my beutiful clean motor vehicle.

In the US you are suppose to ride your bike on the road and you are required to follow all traffic laws including speed limits ( not that hard to do) traffic lanes, stop signs, signalling etc.
