do a google search with the name that you have mentioned and copy the instructions from the antivirus company website that you are running on your computer. You have to follow the instructions given on the website.

If you don't have a good anti-virus, download AVG (free), as well as Ad-aware SE Personal & Spybot Search & Destroy (both free too).

Update 'em online. then go to Start - All Programs - System Tools - System Restore and turn off Restore to prevent malware backup files being reinstalled.

Reboot the PC & tap F8 repeatedly before Windows loads. Go into Safe Mode & run your new software in that mode. When done, reboot normally & switch System Restore back on.

That should do the trick. Hope that helps.

I have had issues with spyware / trojans before and now I use 3-4 free anti-spyware softwares as well as my anti virus software :). With 3-4 checking there is no way those annoying things can escape! You probably might not need that many but I'm being overly cautious, but at least in this way Im increasing the chance of finding them. I usually run adaware, windows defender and than spybot than the antivirus. All upto you.

List , descriptions and URL's below (all free software).

AVG Anti-Virus

Free protection against viruses, worms and trojans, AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition is ideal for private, non-commercial use

Adaware:-

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-a...

Ad-Aware Personal remains the most popular anti-spyware product for computer users around the world, with nearly one million downloads every week. Our free anti-spyware version provides you with advanced protection against spyware that secretly attaches and takes control of your computer

Spybot:-

http://www.spybot.info/

Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Very popular and very good.

Windows Defender:-

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security...

Windows Defender is a free program that helps protect your computer against pop-ups, slow performance, and security threats caused by spyware and other unwanted software. Microsoft recently beefed up its free antispyware app with new tools and other improvements, but the verification process is annoying. Still, if your operating system is compatible, Windows Defender provides excellent protection.

Hijack this:-

If your spyware-removal arsenal has failed to defeat a particularly insidious intruder, this program could be your last hope. While you may need to consult a Web-based forum to make sense of the program's scans, this program will spot almost all potential threats.

Give all that a go and it will clean up your whole pc hopefully.

You could try the Restore function on your computer to go back to a time when it was working and see if that will work..also go to www.symantec.com (for Nortons) and put that into a search there to see what they say? Or whatever antivirus company you use...

Try looking on msn.com, I think they had an article on different viruses. Or go on google and look it up.
