I am NOT a racist, but given that Arabic looking people fit the description of terorists it seems that it is in our safety and best interests as well as for the Arabs to racial profile. Although we should definitely keep this at a minimum (because the majority of Arabs aren't terorists), it still goes without saying that the overwhelming majority of terorists are muslim. I actually heard of a story where an old white grandmother was pulled out of line at the airport to be searched and an obviously looking middle-eastern young man was neglected by the security personnel in an attempt to ignore public safety by being politically correct. Reportedly afterwards, the Arab man was very upset that HE WASN'T searched. Amazing, but I think he got the point better than alot of the rest of us. Personally, it seems that anyone who is against racial profiling in airports is just "plane" suicidal. (forgive the pun)

A very valid point of view. Racial profiling might help, but I honestly believe that proper intelligence is the right way forward. The fact that these people got visas from American embassies, means they have already gone through an important security check.
There are some people that need to be excluded, like the grand ma and the first embassy security check needs to be taken into consideration.

Racial profiling wont stop attacks, in Britain the arrests mostly of British citizens and I also need to point out that U.S has its share of local terrorists, all American terrorists such as;

John Walker Lindh
Jose Padilla (the alleged “dirty bomber”)
Six men in Lackawanna, New York (the “Buffalo Six”)
Timothy McVeigh
Terry Nichols
Clayton Lee Waagner
Michael Bray
Bobby Frank Cherry

The fact that 9/11 was executed by a bunch of Islamic fundamentalists does not mean that by conducting racial profiling, we are safer. I think our government needs to address the roots of terrorism. Trying to stop attacks is a very short term strategy. I honestly feel racial profiling is not the right thing to do.

This is a short list of some people responsible for the bombing of airliners throughout history.

See above link.

If you are going to be so closed minded to just blame Arabs, then you're just plain dumb. Check out how many americans have attempted and succeeded in airline bombings.
Working in the airline industry....working in the airling security industry, I would be damn stupid to only focus on Arabs.
It seems to me that you are just predjudice. Don't believe everything you see on TV!
